Clitoria Ternatea, also known as Butterfly Pea Flower, is famous for its deep blue flowers and is native to equatorial Asia. Ayurvedic medicine emphasizes its anxiolytic, antidepressant, tranquilizing and sedative action. Currently, the flowers are used by the food industry to color foods and herbal teas and to obtain vibrant blue cocktails, which change color depending on the pH.
